As a thought leader, your ability to help people implement your ideas is far more valuable than the ideas that you share.

That means, if you want to:

The less I speak, the more valuable the workshop becomes.

Why? Because the secret to a good workshop isnā€™t in what you say, itā€™s in what you get the attendees doing.

2. AI isnā€™t a shortcut, itā€™s a thought partner šŸ¤–

AI will be transformative; but only if you use it correctly. Right now, most people use AI for itā€™s efficiency and speed.

The result? Hollow advice that sounds good, says nothing and fails to connect on a human level.

Aside from the fact that we can all spot it a mile away, the problem with harnessing AI in this way is that it bypasses the process of having to think.

If thereā€™s anything Iā€™ve learned from building my personal brand over the last few years itā€™s that the true value of creating content (for socials, keynotes, workshops, podcasts) isnā€™t in the finished product, itā€™s in the process of creating it.

Use it to:

  1. Challenge your ideas,

  2. Understand your audience better,

  3. Refine your messageā€¦

And you wonā€™t just increase your competence, your ideas will be taken more seriously too.

3. Play to your social strengths šŸ§ 

That means if you prefer communicating 1 to 1 over 1 to manyā€¦
Stop chasing keynotes, start chasing podcasts.

Double down on newsletters and written posts (maybe theyā€™ll turn into a book!).

Stick to video.

If you like communicating your ideas visuallyā€¦
Become known for your illustrations.

If you prefer online over in-personā€¦
Learn how to deliver a jaw-dropping experience via Zoom.

Perhaps you love a voice noteā€¦
Why not turn it into a podcast?
