🎤 Want to land more speaking engagements?

Don't make this mistake...

Want to land more speaking engagements? You’re not alone. It’s probably the most commonly asked question I get. The single biggest mistake I see?

Thinking that your story is enough…

… it’s not.

Let me explain…

So many people market themselves off the back of unique experiences they've had:

  1. 💡 Starting/exiting a business

  2. ⚡️ Launching a successful product

  3. 🐉 Appearing in the mainstream media (e.g. Dragon's Den)

  4. 💪 Overcoming major personal adversity

  5.  🦸Achieving a superhuman feat

All GREAT talking points.
All experiences that make your perspective unique.

But unless we know what your perspective is,
You'll find yourself in the inspirational speaker category.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great category.
But strategically, it’s limiting.

8 speakers might get booked for a particular stage or event.
Only 1 of those will be an inspirational speaker slot.

The other slots go to those with a clear, tangible message;
The speakers balance who inspiration with insights 💡.

They deliver need-to have brain food;
That gets the audience where they want to be, faster.

When you’ve got lots of stories and life experience to bring to the table, it can be hard to know where to start.

Here are three questions to get you started:

  1. Audience 👥:
    Who do you want to be speaking to?

  2. Message 💡:

    What is the single most important thing they need to understand?

  3. Stories ⚡️:
    What unique stories do you have to bring that message to life?

Hope you find them useful!

P.s. Thank you for all your support launching MicDrop last week. It far exceeded our expectations and I don't take it for granted.

The conversations I've had over the last few days have been nothing short of unbelievable.

We’re kicking off next week and I can’t wait to get started!
